Job Title:  Linux and Cloud Engineer

Job Description:

  • •Design, implement, secure and optimize scalable, architectures in AWS/ physical infrastructure throughout the Software Development Life-Cycle.

  • •Installation and Configuration of Vagrant in Windows or LINUX.

  • •Linux administration, performance tuning, monitoring, maintaining fault tolerance, and account management.

  • •Installation and configuration of new servers in the cloud (AWS & Azure).

  • •Creation of servers, AMIs, storage blocks, snapshots, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, and firewalls in AWS.

  • •Installation and upgrade of Ops Code Chef Server and documenting steps.

  • •Design and implement native/ hybrid multi-tiered cloud applications to the public or private infrastructure.

  • •Installation and upgrade of Chef Client and Make sure servers are getting converge with chef-server.

  • •Administration, packaging, deployment, testing, and Configuration management of version control systems GIT, SVN, Jenkins Nodes/Agents, Chef, SSH, Amazon EC2 through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • •Manage configuration and deployment of cloud services such as EC2, VPC, S3, ECS, RDS, Lambda, Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, and Resource Groups.

  • •Build, test, validate and deploy artifacts based on the release models using various cloud-based tools.

  • •Use GIT and Jenkins for Installation, Configuration, Design and Administration, and integrating the custom-built tools with other third-party systems/ APIs.

  • •Developed and maintained the continuous integration and deployment systems using Jenkins, ANT, Maven, and Ansible.

  • •System troubleshooting and problem solving across platforms and application domains..

  • •Assist application and architecture teams with proof of concept cloud services and implement the design in a lab environment.

  • •Installation and configuration of monitoring tools like Nagios, Big Brother, etc. on Client VM for monitoring and applying blackouts for any outages and pulling reports

  • •Use Amazon CloudWatch/ Splunk to check logs to analyze and monitor the system health.

  • •Provide support through Java Virtual Machine, Application Server Tuning, Monitoring and Alerting on Solaris and RHEL LINUX

  • •Work on cloud automation framework such as CHEF and include automation of certain software installation processes in the form of Ruby code.

  • •Utilize continuous integration and automation tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, PowerShell, Cloud Formation Templates, and Terraform.

  • •Develop and maintain scripts for automation using Shell/Python script.

  • •A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks).
